The Voice Behind Somni

Hello! I'm Kristen, a Victoria based Registered Nurse and Holistic Nutritionist. My goal is to help you achieve balance when you are working night shifts as holistically and naturally as possible.

I want you to have piece of mind knowing in confidence what you are going to eat at work and freedom from obsessing over so many food choices.

When it comes to food, I believe that there is always a healthier option whether it be pizza, cookies or pasta I believe wholeheartedly that alternatives should be offered instead of fully eliminating of foods we have grown to love. My goal is to guide you to improve your health and teach you to listen to your body, it's natural rhythms and how what we eat affects it.

"I challenge my patients to take risks & to open their minds to using food at medicine. By working with our natural rhythms through digestion, I help patients to mediate night shift symptoms, improve gut health and boost their immune systems."

Kristen has over 5 years of night shift experience and 3 years of Holistic Nutrition schooling completed in 2018 at Pacific Rim College in Victoria BC.

In her practice, she works with individuals who are suffering with common symptoms from shift work, majority being indigestion and gut related problems.

From her years of experience working as a nurse she has a unique insider perspective on what shift work really looks like and how we can work with our bodies natural rhythms.

Using a hands on-approach, she offers her clients a unique look at holistic nutrition through educational seminars, lunch n learns and workshops that can provide for her clients the knowledge needed to improve their health and well-being on night shifts.

Unique to her practice, she will be offering weekend camping excursions throughout the year as a reset for our circadian rhythms to naturally sync with the day/night cycles and outdoor cooking opportunities (see calendar for dates)
